Teddi Mellencamp is sharing an encouraging update on her cancer battle.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum revealed that her stage 4 cancer—which she doctors previously gave her 50/50 survival odds—is “gone.”
“Just to give a little life update to you guys,” Teddi said on the Oct. 3 episode of her Two T’s in a Pod podcast, “I had my immunotherapy yesterday and I did my scans and at this point there is no detectable cancer.”
Dolores Catania, who was on the podcast to recap the latest episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County, reacted to her news with glee.
“Oh, I’m so happy!” the Real Housewives of New Jersey star said. “How am I supposed to carry on after this? F–k the episode!”
“I wish I could hug you,” she added. “I love you. Thank you for telling me that. It took my breath away.”
Teddi—who shares Slate, 12, Cruz, 10 and Dove, 5, with estranged husband Edwin Arroyave—went on to detail the emotions she felt when she heard the results of her scans.
“When they told me, I was in such shock,” she shared. “I was like, numb.”
While it was certainly a cause for celebration, the 44-year-old cautioned that she’s not completely out of the woods quite yet.

Teddi had previously opened up about how her cancer battle was forcing her to think about her own mortality.

Teddi had previously opened up about how her cancer battle was forcing her to think about her own mortality.
“I don’t think you understand the debilitating pain that I feel some days,” she told ET in April, choking up at the thought of leaving her children without a mom. “That is extremely frightening. My kids are young.”
