Andy Cohen Defends Physical Transformation

“Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen” host Andy Cohen has defended his apparent physical transformation from naysayers. The television personality also denied claims that his hair was fake or that he has had plastic surgery, confirming that his appearance is completely natural

During an appearance on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast, Cohen discussed his new look with Alex Cooper. Like many viewers, Cooper had noticed Cohen has been sporting longer hair and had seemingly lost weight in recent months.

Cooper brought up the physical transformation, prompting Cohen to reveal the cause. “The hair… I love it!” Cooper said. “Have you been getting rave reviews? It’s really good.”

“You know what? It’s been pretty positive feedback. Thanks for asking,” Cohen replied.

Continuing the conversation, Cooper asked if Cohen planned to keep the new look going forward, to which he replied “I think I am.”

According to the television host, he often grows his hair long during the summer months but this year decided to avoid cutting it back short. The main reason for this was that he had lost some weight and believed he better suited long hair.

“Also, this summer, I lost some weight,” he explained. “I think when your face is thinner, you can carry off longer hair better. And so I was like, ‘Oh, wait, this actually now looks better because my face is a little thinner.’ So I think there’s something happening in tandem.”

“I’ve had no work done, I started — I think this year — to get a teeny bit of Botox in my forehead. I’ve had it done twice. It’s a teeny bit. I’m thinking about getting a smidge more. I don’t want to look crazy. But that is it. I’ve had nothing done. Not a thing.”

Cohen has previously discussed his weight loss and exactly how he managed to shed the pounds. The television presenter explained that several factors have contributed to him losing weight. This includes eating better and doing more exercise as well as using a drug that contains GLP-1.

“Given that for 20 years I have been asking people about their body regimens and that I’ve been pretty vocal about every time I go on a diet … I do think it would be completely hypocritical not to share that I did this summer lose a good chunk of weight by micro-dosing a GLP-1 all summer,” Cohen said.

“I was really unhappy with my weight,” the “Watch What Happens Live” host said. “My doctor, and I talked about this last year, had recommended a GLP-1 a few times to not only address what I was feeling about my weight, but treat plaque in my arteries and high blood pressure. This is a medication that actually is beneficial to a lot of elements of health, and I finally said ‘yes.’”
