The NFL has officially announced that world-renowned Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli will headline the Thanksgiving Day halftime show during the matchup between the Detroit Lions and the Green Bay Packers at Ford Field.

This marks Bocelli’s first-ever NFL halftime performance, bringing a rare blend of classical elegance and global prestige to America’s most beloved holiday football tradition.

“Thanksgiving is a celebration of gratitude and family. I’m honored to share my music on such a meaningful day,” Bocelli said.

The performance will feature a live orchestra, choir, and a holiday-themed setlist including “Amazing Grace,” “Con Te Partirò,” and “The Prayer.”

NFL Entertainment says this year’s show will highlight Detroit’s cultural heritage, resilience, and holiday spirit like never before.

The Lions–Packers rivalry remains one of the NFL’s oldest and most iconic, and with both teams in playoff contention, the game is expected to draw massive national viewership.

Bocelli’s 2025 performance will blend classical orchestration with modern visual production. The halftime show is being co-produced by NFL Entertainment and Live Nation, featuring a live orchestra, choir, and a special visual tribute to Detroit’s resilience and cultural heritage.

Sources close to the event have hinted that Bocelli will perform a three-song medley, including:

• A rendition of “Amazing Grace,”

• His timeless hit “Con Te Partirò,” and

• A special holiday arrangement of “The Prayer,” dedicated to families and first responders across the country.

“We wanted to bring something transcendent to the stage — something that makes people stop, listen, and feel,” said halftime show director Hamish Hamilton, known for producing Super Bowl performances. “Bocelli’s presence alone will make this a Thanksgiving to remember.”
