Among the first beneficiaries is Spelman College in Atlanta, which has already received $38 million — the largest donation in the school’s 140-year history. The funds will support student scholarships, expand access to higher education, and enhance campus technology and infrastructure.
“Education is the foundation of equality,” Haslam said during a press conference in Atlanta. “I want to see young Black students rise, achieve, and become the leaders of tomorrow.”

According to the Haslam Family Foundation, the $387 million in planned donations will be distributed over the next five years, focusing on three core priorities:
