There were a lot of questions surrounding Matthew Stafford and the Los Angeles Rams heading into the 2025 NFL season.

Stafford’s health was a point of contention and concern, as many reports indicated that he wasn’t fully ready to go.

He has certainly proved the doubters wrong to this point, leading the team to a 2-0 record.

The offense has performed much better than expected, and Stafford’s numbers indicate that he hasn’t lost a step.

One such statistic was recently provided by PFF on X, which noted that Stafford is 7/9 on deep passes this season, and he could be perfect in this area if his receivers were able to hold onto the football.

This is a great sign for Rams fans, especially since the San Francisco 49ers have seemingly caught the injury bug again and look like they could be in trouble.

The NFC West has been a battle between the 49ers and the Rams since Stafford came to town, but he doesn’t look like he wants to give the division title up anytime soon.

Being undefeated through two games is no small feat, but Stafford and the Rams can’t rest on their laurels, as they face a daunting schedule moving forward.

Their next four opponents are the Philadelphia Eagles, Indianapolis Colts, 49ers, and Baltimore Ravens, giving them a real test through the first six weeks of the season.

If they can get out of that stretch with a .500 record or better, there’s reason to believe that this team is all the way back and that Stafford is ready to make another deep playoff run.
