Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark shared a two-word reaction to her boyfriend Connor McCaffery’s goodbye post on Thursday. The former Pacers assistant bid farewell to Butler after two seasons with the Bulldogs, sharing an emotional post on Instagram that attracted a response from Clark.

Sharing multiple images from his stint in Butler, McCaffery paired the pictures with an emotional farewell message.

“End of an era! Forever grateful to Coach Matta for the opportunity that he gave me. Learned a lot and worked with great people 🙏🏼 excited for what’s next!” McCaffery captioned the post.

The former Hawkeye guard’s post received love from Clark, who dropped a two-word message.

“Fun times 💙,” Clark wrote.

McCaffery joined the Bulldogs as an assistant coach in 2024 after spending a year as a team assistant for the Indiana Pacers. However, his time with the collegiate program wasn’t fruitful.

In McCaffery’s first season with Butler, the team finished with a 14-19 record and eighth in the Big East. While they improved to 16-16 the next season, it was only good enough for seventh in the conference.

With his stint with the Bulldogs now coming to a close, McCaffery will be eyeing a better opportunity in the near future. However, with Clark remaining in Indiana and both his roles so far coming with teams in Indianapolis, it is safe to assume that McCaffery could remain in the region for the foreseeable future.

McCaffery replaced former NBA first overall pick Greg Oden as the assistant coach for the Bulldogs, following his stint as a team assistant for the Pacers.
